Water management is the highest-value thing a homeowner can do. Clean gutters, extend downspouts to at least 6 feet from the wall, and regrade so soil slopes away. This alone stops a lot of movement.

Then keep monitoring. If the crack stabilizes after you fix drainage, you likely caught it early and saved yourself a foundation bill.
